QUOTES FROM GOTB PARTICIPANTS

GOTB for me was a great way to get involved with the fight for human rights, and the support of people in New York City really motivated me to get more involved with the fight for human rights in the future.

~ Cynthia Kaselis, age 15
(Dana Hall School - Wellesley, Massachusetts)

GOTB is a great way to meet people who are also interested in changing the world.

~ Riri Veliz, age 16
(Dana Hall School - Wellesley, Massachusetts)

Most of all I found having our students exposed in a very tangible way to the stark truth of the world and their crucial role in all of our futures'.

~ John MacLean, chaperone
(Belmont Hill School - Belmont, Massachusetts)

It was a lot of fun. The demonstrations were fabulous, and it was awesome to see the hunger strikers. I look forward to coming next year. Thanks for a great day.

~ Ali Jafel, age 16
(Belmont Hill School - Belmont, Massachusetts)

I have never done anything like this before and it was one of the most remarkable experiences I have recently had. I would definitely do it again.

~ Greg O'Connell, age 19
(Belmont Hill School - Belmont, Massachusetts)

GOTB was meaningful for me because it felt good to be doing something positive. Knowing that I might have helped to do good in the world made this experience worthwhile to me.

~ Andrew Chappell, age 18
(Belmont Hill School - Belmont, Massachusetts)

[Get on the Bus is a] great opportunity for young activists to come together and share the same passions for human rights and social justice. Absolutely essential.

~ Pablo Schuhmacher, age 18
(Noble and Greenough Norfolk, Massachusetts)

[Get on the Bus] was a chance to get out and be part of something that makes a difference, with 1,000 people who feel the same way.

~ Samuel Barcelo, age 18
(Noble and Greenough Watertown, Massachusetts)

Get On The Bus is an event that lets you practice what you preach - you get out there and "take action." Not only that, as an advisor, I not only involve my students in vital actions, but they get to see me there being an activist. I think that Get On The Bus puts the "active" back in "activist." Good job to all!

~ Robert Nave, advisor
(Terryville High School - Terryville, Connecticut)
